It’s important to sometimes shoot with no intention other than to have fun!
Lake Huron has the best sunsets, and luckily our family cottage is in Goderich, Ontario over looking the lake. We went down to the beach when the sun was only a few feet above the lake, by the time we were finished it was practically dark. Light is really what makes a photo amazing, unfortunately it is not always practical to shoot at 5-8am or 7-10pm when shooting weddings and families with small children.
I had been dying to do this idea with somebody but the opportunity hadn’t presented it self. So naturally, I convinced my recently engaged sister to do a Bachelorette/ Celebration shoot. We recruited my husband to throw the confetti, which he had a little too much fun doing. 😉 I was finding confetti in strange places throughout the house 6 months later.
Kristina should be a model, she is tall, beautiful and a natural in front of the camera. This shoot happened because I was eager to just go shoot with no intention one gloomy afternoon. I asked one of my colleagues to come have some fun with me at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Park in Milton.
A past piano student of mine ( yes!, I also teach piano ) is now a film animation student. I wanted to photograph an artist sketching/ drawing so I reached out to her. It was really fascinating watching somebody draw and create. I love the close-up details of this shot!
